DMX found.....in Miami....at Scott Storch's house

So earlier this week the authories set out to find DMX...and they found him at an unlikely place.

From MTV.com:

FBI agents then apprehended DMX at the Palm Island mansion of producer Scott Storch. According to TMZ, an unnamed woman in Georgia tipped off the Arizona sheriff's department officials to X's whereabouts when she heard about the $5,000 reward being offered for information leading to his arrest. Cohen said he is not sure what Storch and X's personal relationship is, or if Storch was home at the time of the arrest. The producer had a warrant out for his arrest earlier this year, when he failed to appear in court for a child-support case, and has been working on straightening out his finances after his home was foreclosed in July.

Lil' Wayne needs better Weed carriers

Wayne's hearing for his weapons charge was today, and boy; did his weed carrier waste NO TIME in letting the court know what the "Best Rapper Alive"™ is smoking on:

From TMZ:

The Weez's assistant was up on the stand today and under blunt questioning from the DA, explained in great detail how pot is "something we always have" on the tour bus. Wayne's bud also said the star only smokes "dro" -- which, as the assistant explained, is short for "hyDROponically grown" weed (i.e., the good s**t). The court was, we're told, buzzing.

Damn....

Just cant stop the Carter: Carter III RE-release(and a son) on the way according to Weezy

Apparently the BET "Hip Hop Awards" was a giant clusterfuck. Go figure. But we did get some interesting news from it (in more ways than one);

From MTV:

"Next on his plate is the release of a new album, Tha Carter III. Think it's already out? You're correct. However, the tireless New Orleans mic fiend says he's dropping a new version of the album with all brand-new songs: He said clearly that the record is not — repeat not — Tha Carter IV."

Hmm...oh yeah apparently Lil' Wayne is also expecting his first son:

Wayne's final words when accepting the award were, "I got a son about to be born any day now, so shout-out to him. Pray for me.""

Consider it done Weezy.

Music Review: T.I.: Paper Trail

9/10

With the inevitable reality of prison looming, T.I. (or T.I.P. if you want to be technical) releases perhaps his most introspective material yet on "Paper Trail."

Though the name is a direct reference to his choice to once again write his rhymes down with pen and pad (the rapper du jour of the current generation is to go pen less), "Trail" doesn't squander its content or lose it's way with a gaggle of filler tracks.

T.I. is at his most brutally honest on "Paper Trail," speaking candidly about the implications of his arrest on "Ready For Whatever", and putting a certain Atlanta naysayer in his place on the hard hitting and in your face anthem "Whats Up, Whats Happenin," produced by Drumma Boy.

T.I. once again teams up with longtime friend and producer DJ Toomp who produces 5 of the strongest tracks on the album, including the long awaited team up with Ludacris on "On Top Of The World," which also features Grand Hustle newbie B.O.B. The song is excellent of course and T.I. and Luda have great chemistry which will hopefully lead to many more collabs with them over time. "Paper Trail" also features the infectious mash-up "Swagga Like Us" which features Kanye West, Jay-Z and Lil' Wayne as four of the most popular MC's today lyrically sparring over the M.I.A. sampled tune.

"Paper Trail" is also light on the upbeat bop of past T.I. albums and even though the Jim Jonsin produced "Whatever You Like" gets in that zone, there are few tracks on the album like it. It's the confessional of an artist facing one of his biggest trials, and as a fan it's worth taking the journey.

Fucking Cool: Nintendo Announces the DSi

Bullet Points:

* Thinner, lighter than DS Lite with bigger screens
* No GBA slot.
* 300,000 pixel camara
* SD card slot
* Speakers larger and have improved sound quality
* MP3 player
* Downloadable software (DS Ware). Wii Points renamed to Nintendo Points. Software price brackets will be Free/200/500/800 points.
* Built in web browser.
* Will release in Japan November 1 for 18900 yen (about $180), two colors: White and flat black.

Oh shit PSP, Nintendo is coming for your cookies! All in all this is a great update to the DS that justifies the price tag, I will probably get one now as will 200 billion other people (the DS remains one of the most best selling electronic items this generation). Even though they shitted on their hardcore fanbase, Nintendo does manage to do something right every now and then
